What is Procare Cloud?

Procare Cloud lets you access information for your child-centered business from any Procare computer (home, center, laptop, etc.) with a high speed internet connection. Storing the data and making it accessible only to you, is known as “hosting”.

What is the cost of Procare Cloud?

With your investment in Procare, you may add the Procare Cloud service for just $32 per month (per Family Data module), which includes 2 seats*. There is a one-time setup fee of $45.

*Note: If you invest in additional seats, you’ll pay a one-time fee for each seat plus $8 per month for Procare Cloud. For example, 1 Family Data module with 1 additional seat (3 total seats) would be $36 per month for Procare Cloud. Procare Cloud fees are in addition to the purchase of the modules and/or seats.

How is your server farm setup?

We host/operate our own hardware with dedicated IT staff. Hardware includes state of the art hardware, Windows Server 2016, Microsoft SQL Server 2016 and accompanying suites behind layered hardware and software Security measures.

Are there redundant power supplies?

Our servers have Triple Power supplies, backed up by battery power and a 600 AMP Caterpillar Diesel Generator.

What kind of bandwidth will be coming in?

Our server facility offers Top level Connections through Qwest, Sprint, 360 Networks in addition to two regional Fiber rings.

What are you using for securing and backing up data?

We use encrypted TLS connections to our SQL servers. Each client has a unique User ID and Password. Users have access only to their database. Our servers are a Fail-over Cluster connected over 16G Fiberchannel fabric to a Nimble SSD SAN. We utilize backup to disc technology for daily backups.

What is the recommended bandwidth and ping rate from our location?

Minimum available bandwidth: download 1.5 Mbps (1,500 kbps), upload 0.5 Mbps (512 kbps). Maximum ping rate to a server in Southern Oregon: 80 ms(milliseconds). Wireless AirCards (3G, 4G, etc.) are NOT supported.

Important! If classroom cameras or other devices/programs share your bandwidth you may not have enough available bandwidth for Procare to run effectively. Make sure you have enough total bandwidth to accommodate all your needs.

How will I be billed?

Prepay for the Entire Year: You will receive an invoice on an annual basis, detailing your Procare Cloud Monthly Fees for 12 months, due 30 days from date of invoice. You may send payment via Check, Money Order, Credit Card Authorization, etc.

Monthly Credit Card Payment: Payments will process automatically to the credit card on file on the 2nd business day each month. Payment by check is not an option as Procare Cloud Fees are not invoiced on a monthly basis.

How will I know if there is a service outage or scheduled maintenance?

When your service is first activated, you provide email addresses of the people you want us to contact. You may select the type of email each contact person is to receive; for example choose Billing only, Technical only, or both Billing and Technical.

Will Procare tell me if the card I use for monthly fees is expired or declined?

Yes. All Procare Cloud notifications are emailed to the contact people specified by your organization.

  • We send Card Expiration Warnings the month prior to the expiration date on your credit card.
  • We email notices when we are unable to process the payment due to declines or expiration issues.
  • Your email contact people who are marked to receive “Billing” notices receive an email each time the payment is declined. Instructions for how to change the credit card at the Procare Online Store are included in each email

We currently use almost all of the modules available with the exception of the Employee Payroll. This includes the online backup (Procare cloud) which makes me feel confident that all of my important data will be backed up daily, even if I were to have my computer crash.
