Limiting the amount of physical contact in schools and child care centers ā particularly when it comes to checking in and out ā can be challenging. Luckily, there are ways to leverage technology such as QR codes to mitigate germ transfer.
With that in mind, weāre excited to announce that all Procare Connect and Procare Engage customers can now use QR codes for a touchless child care check-in experience.
How does it work?
Each school or child care center can use Procare Connect or Engage to generate a unique QR code on whatever device they use for the check-in kiosk (tablet, computer, smartphone). Centers also have the ability to print out the QR code if they prefer. When parents arrive, they simply pull up the Procare application on their smartphone, select the QR code icon and scan. After scanning the code, the parent will be able to check in their child directly from their phone. The check-in process follows the same workflow as the parent kiosk ā with an optional survey question and signature recording capabilities.
Where can I get more information about Procareās QR code functionality?
Weāve created a help page with all the information you need to get started.
What about additional needs like the ability to log health checks and track movement between classrooms?
COVID-19 has spurred a number of changes in child care policies and procedures, which include instituting regular temperature checks, tracking childrenās movements and enabling touchless ways to collect tuition.
Weāve created interactive guides for each of our main products to show you how you can use them to address COVID-19 related needs. All you have to do is click on the link to the product you want to learn more about (see below). That link will pull up a guide that allows you to select the challenge youād like to solve, after which, youāll be taken to information on how you can leverage Procare to solve that challenge:
